Pauline Vlahakis ’24
Pauline Vlahakis, 6’4, Class of 2024 is from Stamford, Connecticut.
Pauline plays inside first, outside second. She has posts moves around the basket and knows how to finish through contact. When running the court, Vlahakis is able to catch in stride and score. Pauline has an impressive touch when shooting the basketball. Her sweet spot is mid-range and at the rim. Once in a while, Vlahakis can step out to the three point line to hit jumpers as well. Rebounding is a priority for Pauline. She gets a lot of second chance points from offensive rebounds. Defensively, Pauline takes up space in the paint. She puts up substantial numbers in blocking and rebounding. Pauline is very effective passing out rebounds tor her teammates to make plays. Vlahakis is a very skilled passer. She has an understanding of where her teammates are on the court within the offense. Pauline gets them the ball in opportune positions to score.
This ’22-’23 will be Pauline’s second year on her high school varsity team. While she’s been on her school team, they won the city championship 2 years in a row, as well as, came in second in FCIAC (county championship) in 2021-2022.
Vlahakis was ranked Spring ’22 at #6 in her position and #50 in all of New England by Prep Girls Hoops. She plays AAU for the Connecticut Basketball Club under Scotty Nails.
Pauline is as stunning off the court as she is on the court. Her GPA is a 4.225 taking all Honors, AP and IB classes. She has academically met High Honors with Distinction since middle school. Vlahakis passed AP World History exam with a 4 in 2022. She excels in Greek as her mandated foreign language.
Pauline is curious about studying something sports related and/or in medical field when she attends college.
