Jayla Atkins

     Jayla Atkins, 5’8, is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a college transfer with two years of eligibility remaining. 

     Jayla is a take charge type of player, using her athleticism as much as possible. She looks to crash the boards offensively, resulting in scoring off of putbacks. Part of her game consists of slashing and running the floor, while finishing in transition. When Atkins receives a pass, she immediately looks to aggressively drive for a layup in either direction. Jayla shoots confidently hitting three point shots. She is a good defender and rebounder on both of the floor as well! 

    Jayla Atkins completed one year at Mercyhurst College and her second year at Harcum College. She finished with a 2.8 GPA and a General Studies Associate’s Degree. Looking forward, Jayla would like to study Kinesiology.
