Deshantae Jackson
Deshantae Jackson, 5’7, Class of 2022 is from Riley, Mississippi.
Deshantae is a very reliable shooter. She is consistent from the three, knowing how to spot up for a shot. Jackson does an excellent job creating space, by driving and jump stopping, for a pull up jumper. Reading the play, she knows how to feed the post. When she sees her post sealing, she feeds her the ball inside. She knows how to run the floor and finish through contact on either side of the basket. Deshantae is an active defender, always moving and rotating into position.
Jackson is a four year varsity player and started her senior year this past season. On 10/30/21, Deshantae was Player of the Game vs Holly Springs. As a member of Ripley Girls Basketball, Jackson has been part of the team winning All Regions Team ’22, State Champs ’20, and Tippah County Champs ’19, ’20, ’22.
Deshantae Jackson is a 3.6 GPA student. She is a member of the Spanish Club at her high school. Jackson plans on studying Art Appreciation and General Psychology in college.
