Chanelle “Nelly” Anderson

    Chanelle “Nelly” Anderson 5’7 class of 2024 is from Kansas City, Missouri. 

    Chanelle is a pressure defender. She locks players down and forces them to be uncomfortable with her intensity. Chanelle leaves it all on the court playing her hardest at all times. She creates hustle plays with her efforts. Chanelle is a confident shooter who can get a shot off with defense in front of her. She has court awareness knowing where she needs to be. Nelly’s court awareness also allows her to move the ball to her open teammates. Her quickness is an asset allowing her to get shots off quickly, pressure defenders, anticipate steals and get quick passes off to her teammates. 

     Chanelle is a sophomore who has been a two year varsity starter at at The Barstow School (Kansas City, MO). Nelly is a two time female athlete of the year for playing basketball, tennis and running track.  Chanelle was listed as a top performer in the Prep Girls Hoop Tournament in (May 2021).  

         Chanelle is undecided on her major for college. Currently, Nelly holds a 3.7 GPA in school. She is an Honors English and Honors History student taking these classes both her freshman and sophomore year.
